As the renter, I understand that:
· A deposit is required to hold the particular date for my planned event. ($150 for 1 DAY and $300 for WEEKEND) And that the date I choose will remain available until the time I present the deposit.
· The cost of renting the farm for my event is a separate fee from the deposit and MUST be paid no later than 1 week/7 days before my scheduled event. If I do not complete payment, the rental agreement is void and my deposit WILL NOT be returned to me.
· I have up until 1 week/7days before my scheduled event to CANCEL my event by notifying Papa Pete’s Family Farm in order to receive a return of my paid deposit.
· After my event has ended, I must clean up any decorations, trash and materials left by myself and/or any of my event attendees. This includes all areas of the property in use such as playground, arena, pond area, parking areas, driveways and trails. If the property is left clean and is approved by a member of farm staff, my DEPOSIT will be returned to me.
· Papa Pete’s Family Farm reserves the rights to the RV sites, and they are not part of event rental agreements. RV sites can be rented by myself and/or my attendees for an additional fee by contacting Papa Pete’s Family Farm.
· Absolutely no ATVs are permitted on the property at any time however, golf carts are acceptable.
· I will respect near by residences by lowering the volume of any noise/music by 11:00. In the event that law enforcement is called due to loud music/noise or any disruption, that I (the renter) am responsible for any citations given. Repeat visits by law enforcement will result in event being shut down and refusal of future renting opportunities.
· ABSOLUTELY NO BONEFIRES. All permitted fires will be restricted to burn barrels provided by Papa Pete’s Family Farm. Papa Pete’s Family Farm reserves the right to prohibit burn barrels as well due to weather conditions and/or unsafe use. Only wood is to be burned in burn barrels.
· Any damage or malfunction of property should be reported to farm staff immediately. Damage not reported and/or resulting from malicious actions will result in unreturned deposit. Damage resulting from malicious or reckless actions will result in possible legal action.
A printed version of the rental agreement will need to be signed at the time of deposit. We are currently working on an e-sign option but until then an in person signature is required. You can set up a time to come by the farm to sign when you contact us to set up a date of your event.
Under North Carolina law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant of equine activities resulting exclusively from the inherent risk of equine activities. Chapter 99E of the North Carolina Statutes.
